Membership

Some of the benefits of membership in the Kentucky Herpetological Society include:

  • KHS Newsletter. The official newsletter of the Kentucky Herpetological Society is published monthly for the benefit of all members.
  • Field trips & other events. The KHS often sponsors field trips to observe reptiles and amphibians in their natural and captive (zoos, nature centers, etc) environments. The society also participates in various other activities throughout the year. Check the events page for more information.
  • Monthly meetings include lectures by various speakers, slide presentations, and other activities. Members are encouraged to participate in the meetings by sharing ideas, showing animals and discussing their experiences. Parents are encouraged to bring their children in order to foster their interest in reptiles and amphibians. Meetings are open to all but the society encourages membership of those in attendance.
  • The KHS provides an online forum via this website to have an interactive exchange of information that is of interest to the reptile and amphibian enthusiast.

Membership fees are $12.00 for students, $15.00 for individuals, $20.00 for families, and $35.00 for organizations.
